Country Overview

Chad is neighbour to several crises affected countries and hosts hundreds of thousands of refugees, returnees and internally displaced people fleeing crisis and political instability. Meanwhile, migrants heading to North Africa continue to travel on Chadian routes, with little information on the conditions they face on the journey nor in their final destinations. REACH first started working in Chad through in 2015, and has conducted regular multi-sectoral needs assessments to inform humanitarian response planning and coordination.
