Sudan faces a series of interconnected crises, including economic and macro-economic challenges, recurrent flooding events, droughts and locust invasions, prolonged internal displacement, and high refugee caseloads. In addition to this, pockets of inter-communal conflict persist in the country. REACH has been present in Sudan since 2020, providing humanitarian actors with up-to-date data and analysis on existing needs through a first country-wide Multi-sectoral Needs Assessment.
